This course provides an overview of the problems associated with both childhood and adult lead exposure and reviews the regulations and guidelines in place to identify, assess and remediate lead hazards.  The course is designed for anyone working with lead or those individuals that may be exposed to it in a residential or occupational environment. 

The course will review common sources of lead in and around childcare facilities, residential structures, and workplaces and will provide an overview of the health risk that lead poses to children and adults. We will review currect lead regulations from the EPA, OSHA, and nearby States as well as HUD and DOE guidelines.  Learn about professional testing and inspection services, lead mitigation plans, and the importance of communicating with families and employees about the risk of lead exposure.
